In 2024, construction works of a total of MNT 2.4 trillion are planned to be carried out in the road and transport sector. In particular, the Ministry of Road and Transport Development reported that major works will be performed in the road sector that have not been performed in the last decade.

In 2024, 56 new projects and programs are planned to be implemented. The Government of Mongolia has connected 21 provinces and about 100 soums with paved roads. In addition, it is planned to build roads between provinces. Also, a large amount of investment has been allocated for the construction work of connecting the provinces with paved roads.

In particular, a major project will be implemented to connect Khovd to Uvs, Govi-Altai to Zavkhan, and Mandalgovi to Choir. Also, major repair of damaged highways and carry out maintenance work have been reflected.

This year, about 650 kilometers of roads will be renovated and repaired. This is a budget that has not been set in the history of Mongolia in the last thirty years. Starting from this year, many damaged roads in the direction of Dornod, Uvurkhangai and Bayankhongor will be repaired.
